Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the Other Executive team, the Director of Federal Government Relations will lead the development and execution of the company's federal government relations strategy. This includes:

  • Overseeing federal trade association strategy and positioning to advance the company's public policy goals.
  • Leading and advancing the company's federal government relations and advocacy agenda, including legislative and regulatory summaries and strategic responses.
  • Developing and executing federal political giving strategy to support the company's goals.
  • Coordinating facility visits by Members of Congress and strategically assessing and placing corporate, market, and other leaders in roles with federal and national trade association committees and boards.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relative field, with a Master's Degree preferred.
  • Seven to ten years of relevant work experience, including federal legislative, regulatory/agency, trade association, corporate, or campaign experience focusing on issues relevant to hospitals or healthcare delivery.
  • High-level competence with business software, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong written communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and oversee multiple tasks.
