Consumer Lending Operations Support Specialist I

Position Overview:
Reporting To: Consumer Lending Administration Supervisor
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Key Responsibilities:
The role involves providing teller services and administrative assistance across all functions of the Consumer Lending department, which encompasses consumer loan origination, servicing, and collections.
Essential Duties:
- Execute teller-related tasks, including check and transfer postings.
- Balance individual general ledger accounts as assigned.
- Conduct teller transactions, update demographic information, and perform other maintenance on lending, collection, and servicing software.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and ensure member account information is current.
- Handle assigned data entry and ensure timely and accurate documentation for Consumer Lending departments, including payment requests for vendors.
- Maintain records related to board reports and negotiable items for the credit union.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Six months of general office experience preferred, with some familiarity in lending or loan servicing. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Proficiency in the MS Office suite is required.
Advancement Opportunities: Progression to Consumer Lending Administration Specialist II or III, Category 15 or 14, is contingent upon meeting performance standards as determined by management. Relevant work experience and/or completion of accelerated training may substitute for tenure.
Compensation:
Salary Range:
- Consumer Lending Operations Administration Specialist I (Category 16): $36,582 - $51,947 annually
- Consumer Lending Operations Administration Specialist II (Category 15): $38,412 - $55,312 annually
- Consumer Lending Operations Administration Specialist III (Category 14): $41,484 - $60,567 annually
The starting salary will be based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, education, and applicable local or state wage regulations, and will fall within the specified range.
