Position Overview: The University of Pennsylvania, in collaboration with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, is inviting applications for multiple Instructor roles within the Academic Support Staff.
Appointment Duration: This position is initially offered for a one-year term, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance and funding availability, up to a maximum of three years.
Qualifications: Candidates must have successfully completed a medical or surgical residency in a US or Canadian ACGME-accredited program in one of the following specialties: internal medicine or its subspecialties, including but not limited to cardiovascular disease, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, nephrology, critical care medicine, pulmonary disease, pediatrics or pediatric subspecialties, emergency medicine, family medicine, pathology, or surgical specialties.
Applicants are required to possess an M.D. or an equivalent degree and must be board certified or eligible through a member organization of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in a relevant medical or surgical specialty.
Responsibilities: The role may involve the practice of clinical informatics across various care settings, including inpatient, ambulatory, and emergency environments. During their tenure, instructors will collaborate closely with esteemed faculty on initiatives related to clinical decision support, data analytics, and innovative practices. In addition, instructors will engage in research and scholarly activities.
