Clinical Research Program Manager B Job Description

As a key member of the CRU team, you will play a critical role in advancing the science of cancer care, serving patients by improving clinical outcomes, and offering innovative care to trial participants.

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the clinical research portfolio, including study start-up and ongoing study management. This will involve assisting with study feasibility and selection, prioritizing the team's work, and working closely with the ACC CRU Regulatory coordinators to manage, review, and initiate trials to ensure competitive activation and enrollment timelines.

The Clinical Research Program Manager B will work closely with major internal and external stakeholders to develop project plans and support day-to-day operations of clinical research proposals. This will include working with Investigators and data informatics teams/programs to ensure the CTT Research Program is supporting the varied patient population under study.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology clinical research, with experience in managing clinical trials, including Phase I-IV studies. They will possess excellent problem-solving abilities, effective communication and writing skills, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.

The Clinical Research Program Manager B will be responsible for supervising the clinical research nurse(s), clinical research coordinator(s), and research assistants for the CTT Research team. This will include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, and paid time off for the staff.

The successful candidate will work closely with the ACC CRU Manager of Operations to develop and implement SOPs, report team study metrics, and communicate issues that may affect overall research with ACC CRU Trials.

The Clinical Research Program Manager B will be an integral part of the ACC CRU team, working closely with Investigators, data informatics teams/programs, and other stakeholders to advance the science of cancer care and improve clinical outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Strong background in oncology clinical research, with experience in managing clinical trials, including Phase I-IV studies
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, effective communication and writing skills, strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Supervisory experience, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, and paid time off for staff
