Overview:
We are actively seeking a Customer Support Specialist to be instrumental in delivering outstanding customer service, enhancing customer loyalty, and attracting new clientele.
In this role, you will act as a primary contact for our clients by managing both incoming and outgoing sales and service-related communications while executing administrative tasks to ensure the utmost level of customer satisfaction, quality, efficiency, and precision in all your endeavors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming inquiries and adopt a proactive sales strategy with each customer interaction to identify further sales and service possibilities
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Suburban Propane's offerings, customer account management, billing procedures, new customer onboarding, and various policies and protocols regarding product delivery and service
- Exhibit a professional, confident, and enthusiastic demeanor to foster trusting relationships with all clients
- Ensure high standards of customer account management by accurately setting up and maintaining account details and information
- Oversee and coordinate Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Accounts Payable tasks and activities
- Perform administrative duties, data entry, reporting, and reconciliation related to asset and inventory management and procurement
- Collaborate with the Customer Service Center (CSC), regional, and corporate teams to guarantee exceptional customer service and achieve operational efficiencies
- May assist with route forecasting and maintenance, as well as scheduling daily service tasks, installations, and repairs
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service environment
Preferred: High School diploma or GED
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, data entry, and the ability to generate and analyze reports
Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a collaborative setting
