Job Title: Measurement Engineer

Gerresheimer is seeking a skilled Measurement Engineer to join our team in Peachtree City, GA. As a key member of our Plastics & Devices Division, you will be responsible for preparing measurement reports for plastic parts, assemblies, and other components as part of tool qualification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conceive and implement measurement strategies in collaboration with the project team.
  • Develop and execute machine, process, and measuring equipment capability tests using specified software.
  • Create 3D false color comparisons and reports for internal measurement services.
  • Review part drawings for measurability, dimensional errors, and standards specifications.
  • Investigate and resolve metrological problems in a team environment.
  • Design and implement measuring programs for 3D coordinate measuring machines and computed tomography.
  • Prepare measurement reports for plastic components based on 2D drawings.
  • Coordinate measurement orders and prioritize tasks with the manager.
  • Verify test results and react to deviations according to internal process specifications.
Requirements:
  • Completed technical apprenticeship with further professional development, such as technician certification.
  • Advanced knowledge in measurement technology, ideally supported by certifications (e.g. AUKOM).
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in a similar field of responsibility.
  • Expert knowledge of testing equipment, including Zeiss Contura G2, Zeiss O-Inspect 8/6/3, Werth VideoCheck 400, and Zeiss Metrotom 800.
  • Proficient in interpreting and handling technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of test methods, measurement technology, and relevant QM guidelines.
  • Expertise in preparing detailed technical reports.
  • Basic knowledge of occupational safety regulations related to functional tests.
Preferred Skills:
  • Solid IT skills, particularly in MS Office programs and MES systems.
  • Proficiency in Minitab for evaluating Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and capability studies.
  • Basic understanding of GMP/GDP regulations.
  • Familiarity with failure analysis methods and root cause analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical methods (e.g. key figures, data analysis, distributions).
