Key Responsibilities- Product Design and Development: Lead the design and development of new products, utilizing CAD software to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings.
- Product Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive product testing using a range of test equipment and measurement instrumentation to ensure all designs meet our stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and sales, to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and meet customer needs.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Utilize Creo and Windchill for product lifecycle management, from initial concept through to production and beyond.
- Process Improvement: Continually evaluate existing products and processes for potential improvements, and implement these improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product performance.
- Technical Guidance and Mentorship: Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers, and act as a mentor to foster their professional development.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a product engineering role, preferably within the engineering industry.
- Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Creo, and experience with product lifecycle management systems, specifically Windchill. Extensive experience with test equipment and measurement instrumentation. A strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Personal Qualities: Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to overcoming challenges. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively under pressure.
