Job Title: Surgical Nurse Navigator

New England Cancer Specialists is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Surgical Nurse Navigator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Surgical Nurse Navigator will provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, from pre-surgery to post-surgery. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient education on self-care strategies, nutrition, and lifestyle changes to aid recovery and overall well-being.
  • Work closely with the oncology team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare team members.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and stay up-to-date on changes in regulations and healthcare treatments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Licensed Nurse within State of Maine required.
  • Two years plus nursing professional experience required.
  • Surgical/Breast Oncology experience preferred.
