We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our multidisciplinary team in the Aortic Disease Program. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of surgical field experience and a strong background in providing care for aortic patients in the outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide medical care and practicing medicine with physician supervision, including conducting examinations and writing prescriptions.
- Work collaboratively with a team of specialists from Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, Cardiology, and Genetics to develop and implement care plans for aortic patients.
- Participate in the development of MaineHealth's Aortic Disease Program and contribute to its growth and success.
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Three years of surgical field experience preferred.
- Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
- Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required for PA's.
- Current BLS certification.
