MaineHealth Vascular Surgery - Aortic Disease Program

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our multidisciplinary team of specialists from Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, Cardiology, and Genetics to develop MaineHealth's Aortic Disease Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical care and practicing medicine with physician supervision, including conducting examinations and writing prescriptions through office-based evaluation and treatment of patients.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Aortic team to provide a high level of care for patients with aortic disease.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with aortic disease, including medication management and surgical interventions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients with aortic disease.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Three years of surgical field experience preferred.
  • Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
  • Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required for PA's.
  • Current BLS certification.
