Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Exercise Physiologist to join our team at MaineHealth. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for conducting stress tests, interpreting EKG results, and ensuring the highest standard of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct stress tests, including treadmill and pharmacological stress testing, in accordance with departmental policy.
  • Interpret and report rest and stress EKG results.
  • Ensure delivery of patient care meets or exceeds the expectations of the MaineHealth values.
  • Collaborate with physicians to assess patients before stress tests, obtain informed consent, and determine appropriate procedures.
  • Develop and implement protocols for stress testing, including special precautions as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or a CoAES-accredited degree program.
  • Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM CEP) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
  • BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 200 supervised tests performed under the direction of a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
  • 1 year of clinical or exercise physiology-related experience, training, and/or education.

  • Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of proficiency in delivering clinical services across multiple populations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all policies and procedures.
Computer Skills

Proficiency in electronic medical record navigation is required.
