Position Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to enhance our finance team. The successful candidate will possess exceptional organizational abilities and the capacity to juggle multiple responsibilities in a multi-entity setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process accounts payable invoices, ensuring prompt and accurate payments to vendors.
  • Handle customer invoicing and guarantee timely application of payments received.
  • Maintain comprehensive and current accounts payable and receivable records in line with accounting standards.
  • Reconcile vendor and customer statements, addressing discrepancies efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and customers to resolve payment or invoice-related issues.
  • Oversee the accounts payable email correspondence and respond to inquiries professionally.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts payable, including reconciliations and accruals.
  • Monitor accounts payable aging reports to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
  • Prepare and execute electronic payments and checks for approval.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding accounts payable.
  • Support other accounting and finance functions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct accounting systems in a multi-entity environment is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Sage Intacct.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles related to accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with electronic payment processing (ACH/wires) is a plus.
