What You Will Be Responsible For

Under the guidance of the Customer Service Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering courteous, professional, and efficient service consistently. You will initiate outbound communications to specific low-volume accounts to enhance service and maintain effective communication with clients not currently serviced by a field sales representative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly outreach to designated low-volume accounts within the local area.
- Inform existing clients about new programs, promotional activities, products, and services while addressing any inquiries or ongoing issues.
- Assist in resolving customer concerns such as missed shipments, pricing discrepancies, and backorders, striving for prompt and effective solutions.
- Collaborate with field sales representatives to coordinate special orders, manage quotations, and facilitate manufacturer communications.
- Work alongside warehouse personnel, customers, and field sales associates to ensure a seamless order process.
- Process all customer orders received via phone, fax, mail, email, and in-person communications.
- Provide accurate information to customers regarding products and services; escalate issues to the Customer Service Supervisor when necessary.
- Perform data entry tasks related to order processing, accessing historical orders, and providing current pricing; conduct research for additional inquiries as needed.
- Assist customers with backorder issues by suggesting alternatives and contacting manufacturers for delivery updates, stock changes, and pricing information.
- Maintain communication with all departments within the Distribution Center and field sales associates.
- Act as a liaison between customers and field sales representatives.
- Offer suggestions to the Supervisor to enhance customer service operations continuously.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What Your Background Should Include
A comprehensive educational background in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field, typically acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree program or equivalent experience and training. Generally requires two to four years of directly related experience.
