**Job Title:** CAS Assessor

**Estimated Salary:** $60,000 - $80,000 per year

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate CAS Assessor to join our team at 1st Choice, LLC. As a CAS Assessor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across New York.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Schedule and conduct person-centered assessments with individuals and families in their homes or community settings.
  • Utilize conversational interviewing techniques to prioritize individual preferences and needs.
  • Arrange professional interpreter services as needed.

**Qualifications:**

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Nursing).
  • Preferred: Master's degree in a human services field.

**Experience:**

  • Required: Minimum of two years working with adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Preferred: Experience conducting assessments and adapting interviewing techniques.

**Skills:**

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based tools.

**Additional Requirements:**

  • Location: Must be based in New York; assessors outside NYC's five boroughs require reliable transportation with valid insurance and license.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel throughout the assigned region.
  • Schedule: Flexible availability, including one weekend per month.
  • Professionalism: Maintain professional attire during client visits.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a quiet, remote environment.
