Support Specialist for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities

YAI/NIPD Network is seeking a Support Specialist to join our team. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will work closely with individuals with intellectual disabilities, providing support and assistance in daily living activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Provide transportation and escorting services to appointments and activities
* Document food and liquid intake, vital signs, and other essential information
* Collaborate with the RN and LPN on medical procedures and crisis situations
* Maintain a safe and healthy environment by adhering to policies and regulations
* Develop positive relationships with individuals and families served
Requirements:
* Active CNA State Certification
* High School Diploma or GED; some college is a plus
* Valid Driver's License, NY State preferred
* Work or life experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred
* Ability to participate in paid OPWDD initial trainings upon hire
* Tuberculosis test mandatory (provided free of charge)

Compensation and Benefits
