Position Overview
The Dispensary Associate plays a pivotal role in customer service and satisfaction rather than sales. As the primary representative of our organization, you will facilitate new customers in discovering the range of products available to them. It is essential to possess the ability to educate and connect with customers to help them achieve their desired recreational or wellness outcomes. Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is crucial to ensure a compliant retail experience, alongside maintaining the overall cleanliness and aesthetic of the environment. Awareness and ownership are key components of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Process, organize, and package customer orders efficiently.
- Ensure a tidy and well-organized facility appearance.
- Deliver consistent and exceptional service to both new and returning customers.
- Utilize the point of sale system accurately.
- Address customer inquiries with informative and patient responses.
- Maintain a foundational understanding of the products offered at the retail location.
- Adhere to best practices established for customer engagement and compliance.
- Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, and the community.
- Foster long-term relationships with customers to encourage referrals and repeat business.
Compensation
Salary range: $15 - $18 USD per hour.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role within a retail or hospitality setting.
- Must be at least 21 years of age (or as mandated by state regulations).
- A High School diploma is mandatory.
- Intermediate-level mathematical skills are required.
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with the capability to resolve issues in a calm and professional manner.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Dynamic interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Personal experience with cannabis is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Analytical skills for assessing data and information.
- Proven experience managing a cash register accurately.
- Experience in training new employees in previous roles.
- Experience as a key holder in a retail environment.
- Knowledge of state cannabis regulations.
- 5+ years of experience in retail.
