Job Title: Grant Program Manager

Job Summary:

The Grant Program Manager is responsible for managing assigned staff, designing and developing major program components, and evaluating the effectiveness of program meeting goals. The successful candidate will have a strong background in grant management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned staff, including hiring, mentoring, and training, conducting performance evaluations, and other employee-related actions.
  • Design and develop major program components, including curricula, research, and public relations support.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of program meeting goals and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and implement instruction and research topics, and participate in professional conferences and public relations support.
  • Assist in developing research, participate in professional conferences, and provide public relations support.
  • Attend monthly meetings, technical assistance, and monitoring sessions.
  • Participate in the grants budgeting and accounting process, ensuring adherence to all federal, local, and state guidelines related to expenditures.
  • Develop and submit monthly and quarterly reports, and generate reports to ensure timely information is available for management use.
  • Manage Institutional Review Board (IRB) activities, coordinate and facilitate school-based nurses EOHSS training, monitoring, and screening schedules, and coordinate procurement and distribution of program supplies.
  • Liaise with internal and external partners to ensure the grant's mission and goals are being met.
  • Oversee and contribute to data entry, electronic health record (EHR) abstracts, and assist with collecting and managing surveys to track trainee employment information.
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to the Principal Investigator (PI) and other team members with complex travel arrangements and exhibit requirements.
  • Provide support to the statistic analyst with collections and outcomes assessment and project evaluation.
  • Coordinate student travel arrangements and reimbursements.
  • Travel off-site for trainings, meetings, technical assistance, monitoring, and events.
  • Communicate with school-based nursing staff to coordinate schoolchildren screening schedules, and to coordinate and distribution, and receipt of parental informed consent forms.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Five (5) years' experience managing grants, including performing and presenting research, mentoring students/residents, budgeting, and supervising staff.
  • Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or above.
  • Strong background in grant management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Working Conditions:

The Grant Program Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel required. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
