Position Summary:

We are seeking dedicated individuals to foster a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff at our venues. Our goal is to ensure equitable treatment and a sense of belonging for everyone involved.

The University of Florida Performing Arts is in search of part-time, experienced event security personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by being courteous, professional, and proactive in addressing customer needs.
  • Respond to incidents in accordance with venue training protocols.
  • Prepare and distribute Shift Instructions, Post Orders, and other essential documentation as directed by Supervisors.
  • Manage the issuance of security credentials.
  • Maintain Daily Rosters and Shift Logs accurately.
  • Conduct safety and security patrols of the facilities.
  • Perform thorough facility inspections.
  • Oversee access control for facilities, venues, and events.
  • Manage door access control systems, including locks and key cards.
  • Utilize scanning technology for weapons detection and inspections for prohibited items.
  • Assist in crowd management during events.
  • Provide escort services for artists as required.
  • Adhere to instructions and policies as outlined by Supervisors.

Qualifications:

Applicants with relevant experience may be considered for advanced roles such as Security Supervisor or Security Coordinator.

Compensation:

Salary ranges from $14.00 to $20.00 based on experience.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of experience in crowd management and event security.
  • Certification in First-Aid and CPR.
