Job Title: Security Officer

At The Village, we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our residents, associates, and guests. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the overall safety and security of our campus by monitoring surveillance cameras, responding to emergencies, and providing excellent customer service to residents, guests, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and respond to emergency situations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide quality customer service to residents, guests, and staff, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Patrol the campus and parking areas to prevent unauthorized parking, potential thefts, and vandalism.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of the campus, including roads, lighting, and other potential hazards.
  • Respond to campus emergencies, including medical, criminal, and mechanical situations.
  • Conduct resident wellness checks by phone and in-person as needed.
  • Provide reports of calls generated by the Emergency Call System to the Security Manager.
  • Investigate and document incidents, including thefts, accidents, and unauthorized visitors.
  • Assist the Human Resources department with employee terminations and other tasks as requested.
  • Attend departmental education and in-service training as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior security experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification eligible.
  • Class D security license preferred.
