**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Services Support Technician to join our team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services department.

**Responsibilities**

* Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, perform patient care tasks necessary to assist surgeons, anesthesia, and the surgical staff in facilitating the consistent flow of patients through surgery.

* Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all necessary preparations are made for each surgical procedure.

* Maintain a clean and organized environment in the operating room, adhering to strict infection control protocols.

* Assist with the transportation of patients to and from the operating room, as needed.

* Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of surgical services.

**Requirements**

* High School diploma or equivalent required.

* Current CPR certification (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

* Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certificate preferred.
