Position Overview

The Clinical Research Educator (CRE) is responsible for delivering essential information and educational resources regarding clinical trial eligibility criteria to trial coordinators and healthcare professionals. The CRE will conduct in-service training sessions aimed at enhancing patient enrollment. This role involves collaboration with Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) and other field-based medical teams to ensure effective trial execution, including the development of customized recruitment strategies. Additionally, the Clinical Research Educator will engage with referring physicians to establish referral networks that support clinical sites and collaborate with support groups within the therapeutic area. This is a full-time, field-based role requiring up to 75% travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with research sites to create tailored action plans that expedite patient recruitment and provide study-specific training.
  • Educate healthcare professionals and their teams, reinforcing study protocols relevant to clinical trials.
  • In certain roles, interact directly with patients to provide education about the trial, associated diseases, and relevant devices or medications.
  • Partner with referral networks to identify potential candidates for clinical trials.
  • Maintain and analyze customer records to tailor strategies that maximize patient pre-screening, screening, and enrollment in trials.
  • Utilize internal electronic reporting systems; organize and facilitate group events to enhance program delivery.
  • Effectively manage objections and concerns raised during the recruitment process.
  • Ensure the safe and proper maintenance of organizational equipment.
  • Stay current with technical knowledge related to specialty areas and diseases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Health Sciences or a related field, or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • Registered Nurse or other healthcare professional credentials required.
  • Typically requires 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence in the relevant therapeutic area.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity to coordinate and complete activities across various functions.
  • Proficient in quickly understanding situations and employing a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Exhibits a proactive attitude and strong customer service orientation.
  • Collaborative mindset with a high degree of flexibility for travel.
