Job Summary:

The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the college-wide transportation scheduling for students' needs. Reporting to the Director of Campus Safety, this role supervises transportation employees, including students who operate college-owned vehicles. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing transportation schedules, supervising staff and students, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement transportation schedules to optimize customer ridership

Supervise transportation employees, including students, to ensure efficient and safe operations

Conduct vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure compliance with regulations

Develop and present safety education programs to students, faculty, and staff

Maintain records of vehicle maintenance, registrations, and inspections

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Two years of college-level coursework in public administration, business administration, or a related field

Three years of parking and/or transportation experience, including one year in a key administrative support role

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of alternative transportation options

Ability to provide excellent customer service and implement customer service standards

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
