Job Summary:

NextGen Car Care is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our service department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining strong relationships with customers, and driving sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage and monitor service department performance to meet and exceed established targets for sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all repair and maintenance work, adhering to company standards and industry regulations.
  • Train, develop, and mentor service technicians to ensure high-quality workmanship and efficiency in completing repairs and maintenance.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels and expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Stay informed and up-to-date on industry developments and changes in technology and share knowledge with team members and customers.
  • Drive sales and improve service department profitability through effective marketing and customer outreach strategies.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive service management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.
  • Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and extended hours, as needed.
