Job Summary

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the electrical design of our Automation and Robotics products, leveraging data-driven decision-making to enhance equipment intelligence and improve performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the electrical engineering team to develop design solutions for electromechanical machine control
  • Design testing plans to confirm electrical systems and component capabilities
  • Prepare engineering reports, calculations, and checks drawings for completeness and accuracy
  • Interact with vendors and suppliers to select electrical components that meet machine requirements
  • Troubleshoot equipment as required, both in-house and at customer facilities
  • Develop operation manuals and other pertinent documentation
  • Responsible for electrical design and panel layout using EPLAN
  • Support prototype builds and release products into production
  • Lead electrical design, development, testing, and reporting for new product introduction (NPI) projects
  • Participate in design projects, customized products, existing product maintenance, quality improvements, and cost reduction
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 7-10 years of related electrical engineering experience
  • PLC programming experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and electrical design
  • Familiarity with embedded controllers, embedded software, and PLCs for automated machines
  • Familiarity with design and application of various sensor technologies
  • Familiarity with user interface technology, HMIs such as touchscreen displays
Work Environment

The Senior Electrical Engineer will work in an office setting with a choice of sitting or standing, moderate noise levels, and keyboarding/typing on a computer for extended periods.
