Position Overview

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for Marines, their families, and the broader Marine Corps Community. Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will engage in various tasks related to the receipt, verification, and handling of merchandise within a retail environment. Responsibilities include:
  • Loading and unloading goods, inspecting for damages or discrepancies.
  • Confirming the type and quantity of items received against provided documentation and reporting any inconsistencies to a supervisor.
  • Assisting in the assembly and distribution of merchandise based on requests.
  • Unpacking, organizing, and stocking merchandise on shelves in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Utilizing RF devices for inventory management and ensuring proper shelf labeling.
  • Conducting periodic inventory checks and maintaining cleanliness in storage and sales areas.
  • Handling waste materials, including operating compactor machines for disposal of empty boxes.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, assisting patrons in locating products, and addressing general inquiries.
  • Occasionally operating a cash register and performing light cleaning duties.

Customer Service Commitment

Delivering World Class Customer Service is essential. The role requires positive communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on resolving issues efficiently. Adherence to safety protocols and reporting any workplace hazards is mandatory.

Qualifications

Skills and Knowledge: Familiarity with product locations and display standards is essential.

Responsibility: Tasks are assigned verbally, and the employee is expected to execute them with minimal oversight.

Physical Requirements: The role involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting items up to 45 lbs independently.

Work Environment: The position is primarily indoors, with potential exposure to crowded areas and varying temperature conditions.
