About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Health Information Management Coder to support our team at Encompass Health. As a key member of our HIMs team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of clinical information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the function and processing of the HIMS Supervisor
  • Participate in committees and task forces focused on medical records and clinical information management
  • Collaborate with the HIMs team to maintain and retrieve clinical information
  • Ensure compliance with coding and regulatory standards
Requirements
  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Record Technology or Administration Program
  • Minimum of one year of HIMS supervisory experience in an acute or rehabilitation hospital
