Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Registration Specialist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Patient Registration Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration process for patients, while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identification, demographic information, and insurance coverage
  • Enter patient information accurately into the hospital information system
  • Accept point of service payments and provide payment estimates for out of pocket costs
  • Process key documents to facilitate obtaining insurance information
  • Provide education to patients and families on the use of registration kiosks or online systems
  • Identify routine issues and escalate to Supervisor, Patient Access
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
  • Prior work experience performing customer service activities within a hospital or clinic environment, an insurance company, managed care organization or other health care financial setting preferred
