Key Responsibilities:- Guest Services: Provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout.
- Room Revenue and Occupancy: Maximize room revenue and occupancy by effectively managing room rates, packages, and special promotions.
- Cash Handling and Credit Policies: Follow all cash handling and credit policies to ensure accurate and secure transactions.
- Knowledge and Awareness: Be aware of all rates, packages, and special promotions, as well as in-house groups, closed-out and restricted dates, and emergency procedures.
- Communication and Teamwork: Use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with other employees and be able to effectively communicate with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Technical Skills: Be familiar with hospitality terminology and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
- Administrative Tasks: Balance and prepare individual paperwork for closing of shift according to hotel standards, complete a bucket check, room rate verification report, and housekeeping report, and maintain a clean work area.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in a related field helpful.
- Experience: Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
- Skills: Computer experience required; customer service experience preferred.
- Personal Qualities: Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times, be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests, and be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
