Manufacturing Maintenance Repair Technician

The Manufacturing Maintenance & Repair Technician will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to machines and equipment. This role requires the ability to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery and manufacturing equipment with minimal instruction.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical machine failures by disassembling and inspecting components.
- Utilize technical documentation to aid in troubleshooting and determine root cause of failure.
- Develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance to maximize time between failures.
- Perform checks and mechanical clearances to ensure proper operation.
- Research and develop critical spare parts for equipment.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence, and effectively communicate issues to engineers and management.
- A High School Diploma or Vocational High School Diploma focused on equipment repair with practical experience.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Proven ability to work independently and learn quickly.
- Recognizes issues and recommends cost-effective solutions to management.
- Possess the discipline to execute tasks without procrastination.
- Good time management to work at a good pace, executing word orders and demands.
- Good human relations to relate cordially with team members and workers.
- Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools, operate a forklift, read blueprints, follow verbal and written instructions, communicate effectively in both oral and written form, maintain work logs, and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with those in the course of work assignments.
- Experience with automated machines, knowledge in pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical trouble-shooting.
- Knowledge of methods used in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and executing preventative maintenance.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and 100 lbs. with assistance.
