Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Chelmsford Commons in Chelmsford, MA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will perform general grounds and lawn maintenance, as well as basic repairs to homes owned by the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure homes and community areas are in good condition.
  • Execute assigned work orders and report status to the Community Manager in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospective residents, and visitors.
  • Identify and address deficiencies with community manager approval.
  • Ensure community grounds are well-manicured, including regular lawn care services.
  • Remove and dispose of garbage on community grounds.
  • Perform snow removal as needed.
  • Advise the Community Manager of residents who do not properly dispose of excess garbage or have large/bulk items.
  • Perform regular inventories of maintenance and grounds equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain order and appearance of garage and storage areas.
  • Comply with national, state, and local health and safety laws.
  • Perform seasonal pre-maintenance services.
  • Remain available for on-call duties as needed.
  • Participate in the refurbishing of Community Owned homes.
  • Perform repairs and maintain community water and sewer lines.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Valid operator's license and good driving record.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to efficiently perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
