Position Overview

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the Store Manager in overseeing daily store functions while ensuring adherence to established company policies and procedures. This position involves providing leadership, training, and guidance to store personnel, stepping in for the Store Manager when necessary, and striving to achieve and surpass sales, service, and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of both employees and customers.
  • Foster an outstanding shopping experience for customers.
  • Uphold and enhance current service level standards.
  • Deliver training and leadership to team members.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Manage all point-of-sale transactions in line with company policies.
  • Oversee inventory control processes, including shipping, receiving, and price management.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and sales floor organization.
  • Adhere to payroll control policies, including scheduling and budget compliance.
  • Support the training and development of staff, utilizing available resources.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies to safeguard company assets.

Principal Working Relationships

Engage with customers, sales associates, store management, and district/regional personnel to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven managerial and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective customer and employee interactions.
  • Solid visual merchandising capabilities.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency.
  • Understanding of corporate and store operational policies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of store presentation standards.
