Civil Project Manager - Land Development

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Manager to join our Land Development team at Westwood Professional Services, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing land development civil engineering projects efficiently, meeting schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage land development civil engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Lead land development civil teams to produce high-quality plan sets, coordinating with Owner/Architect and outside team members as needed.
  • Effectively manage internal support teams, including survey, traffic, hydrology, and hydraulics, to ensure technical details, schedules, and budgets are met.
  • Implement and maintain a QA/QC program, ensuring compliance within the project team.
  • Work with City/County staff to obtain approval for project plans.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, allocating resources effectively across different project stages.
  • Administer construction services portions of projects, including RFI response, site meetings with contractors, and more.
  • Lead and manage up to five assigned technical personnel, including assigning project tasks, reviewing work for accuracy and completeness, training staff, and promoting professional development.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate competence in fundamental civil engineering design principles for land development projects.
  • Have experience in cost estimating, bid phase assistance, construction administration, and general construction methods.
  • Be proficient in current computer-aided design (CAD/Civil 3D) and production software, with the ability to learn new versions or technology.
  • Hold a minimum of eight years of total experience, with four years as a Project Manager (or equivalent).
  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university or college.
  • Possess a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas (or be eligible for licensure).
