Job Overview

Jaxon Engineering and Maintenance is seeking a qualified Project Engineer to enhance our construction division.

As a premier provider of High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) services globally, Jaxon Engineering is dedicated to delivering exceptional engineering, testing, construction, and maintenance solutions. Our operations span across the United States.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong capacity for overseeing project operations, including scheduling, procurement, and resource management. We are looking for a collaborative individual who strives for excellence and is adept at overcoming challenges to achieve project goals.

Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000

Security Clearance: Must be eligible for a Department of Defense Top Secret clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed and accurate schedules for all ongoing and upcoming projects
  • Establish project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans in collaboration with management
  • Identify project phases and responsibilities
  • Define project specifications by analyzing design, customer needs, and performance criteria
  • Engage with clients to update them on project progress and mitigate scope changes
  • Review and submit all project documentation
  • Develop and maintain project timelines
  • Manage project logs and trackers, including procurement, deliverables, RFIs, and change orders
  • Compile project status reports through data collection and analysis
  • Uphold Jaxon’s positive reputation while striving for excellence
  • Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve shared objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or two years of relevant experience in project engineering or a related field such as Commercial/Industrial Construction, DoD contracting, EMP protection, or Manufacturing
  • Proficient in reading plans, specifications, and requests for proposals
  • Experience in coordinating project teams and timelines
  • Skilled in MS Office applications
  • Familiarity with MS Project
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Top Secret clearance
  • Open to coaching and eager to learn new skills in a dynamic industry
