Job Summary:
The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and the University of Washington invite nominations and applications to lead the Fred Hutch Breast Cancer Program. The position will be dual appointed with a primary faculty appointment in the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and a secondary appointment in the UW Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership with a strong vision to grow the Fred Hutch Breast Oncology Program.
- Contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding clinical care and developing excellence in research in the area of Breast Cancer.
- Lead Fred Hutch's Breast Cancer Research and Clinical Program and galvanize multi-disciplinary translational breast cancer research within Fred Hutch.
- Recruit, oversee, and mentor faculty and trainees on the breast oncology team.
- Oversight of clinical care delivery on the breast oncology service.
Requirements:
- MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
- Board certification in medical oncology (or foreign equivalent)
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Washington
Preferred Qualifications:
- A record of and primary interest in breast oncology research, as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications, grants, and/or clinical trial experience.
- Strong candidates will demonstrate evidence of both leadership and clinical excellence in breast cancer.
