About the Role

Hire Horizons is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead our civil construction services team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for directing all activities related to the fiscal success of large commercial construction projects in Central Ohio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Establish project objectives, plans, and performance requirements, and select subcontractors and suppliers to ensure successful project completion.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of Project Engineers, Project Administrators, Superintendents, Foremen, Field Employees, and Estimators to achieve project goals.
  • Contract Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain organization of the project scope to ensure contract compliance, safety, and quality standards, as well as budgetary goals and restrictions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Lead project meetings and coordinate all communications between the owner, design team, and stakeholders.
  • Project Budgeting and Resource Management: Perform project planning, budgeting, and identification of required resources.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure all required paperwork and documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Travel and Site Management: Travel to project sites on a daily basis, including potential overnight stays, to oversee site logistics, material procurement, and scheduling.
Requirements
  • Education: 4-year Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in construction project management, including establishing plans and objectives, selecting subcontractors and suppliers, adhering to project budget, material procurement, design, and finance requirements.
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years of leadership experience overseeing internal employees/crews and/or subcontractors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of commercial construction processes and regulations related to schools, industrial warehouses, manufacturing facilities, correctional facilities, municipal buildings, and/or commercial/office buildings.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to organize site logistics, manage material procurement and scheduling, maintain and secure all tools, and oversee site cleanup.
  • Additional Requirements: Must be able to successfully complete the I-9 requirements and possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
