We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor at our esteemed Minneapolis Plant union location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve maintenance human resource goals by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and managing employee performance; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing contributions; planning and evaluating compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Realize maintenance operational goals by providing insights and recommendations for strategic plans and reviews; preparing and executing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving issues; conducting audits; identifying trends; determining system enhancements; and executing changes.
  • Meet maintenance financial targets by forecasting needs; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective measures.
  • Support production by ensuring mechanical and/or electrical systems are maintained in optimal condition to minimize downtime.
  • Identify requirements, plan, and implement upgrades to facilities and machinery as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team on capital projects involving new, modified, or additional equipment.
  • Partner with engineering support to address requests for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues or act as the engineering resource for repairs, if applicable.
  • Adhere to codes by complying with requirements; advising senior management on necessary actions.
  • Lead oneself and the team to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate safety measures are implemented for a secure work environment.
  • Share best practices with other facilities and leadership teams.
  • Oversee inventory management to assess supply levels; anticipate necessary supplies; place and expedite orders for materials; review and approve invoices.
  • Maintain equipment functionality by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; managing supplies; ensuring preventive maintenance is performed; and coordinating repairs.
  • Enhance job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities; reading professional literature; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
  • Manage third-party contractors and vendors as needed to fulfill facility requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering or a four-year technical degree in a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in maintenance or maintenance engineering is required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with three to five years of engineering experience in netting and/or nonwoven industries, or a related field.
Essential Skills:
  • Knowledge and compliance experience with environmental regulations and OSHA standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in implementing institutional changes to systems.
  • Proficient in maintenance management systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated team-building capabilities, including facilitation and active participation.
  • Proven leadership abilities.
  • Experience in Total Predictive Maintenance practices.
  • Experience managing within a unionized environment (preferred).
  • Experience managing maintenance in a 24/7 manufacturing setting (preferred).
