North Star Sheets, a prominent player in the corrugated manufacturing sector, is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to join our team.

As the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee the comprehensive maintenance of our plant and equipment. Your role will include managing repairs across various systems, including electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic components, while maintaining direct oversight of the facility's parts inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement a robust maintenance program, ensuring adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Lead and supervise maintenance teams in executing mechanical, plumbing, and welding repair projects.
  • Actively participate in safety committee initiatives to address plant safety concerns promptly.
  • Schedule and manage routine inspections, testing, and maintenance tasks to uphold operational efficiency.
  • Analyze maintenance reports to identify areas for improvement and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Monitor maintenance expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Evaluate the quality of completed work and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Provide training and support to other facilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with steam boilers and a background in the corrugated industry is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with computer systems and automated machinery.
  • Strong background in maintenance, plumbing, and electrical systems, particularly in AC/DC motor controls.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, and working extended hours as needed.
