Compensation: The salary for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Location: Onsite

Role Summary

Shawmut Services is looking for dynamic individuals to fill the role of Canvass Manager for a direct voter engagement initiative. The Canvass Manager will play a crucial role in recruiting, training, and overseeing canvassers who will engage with voters in their communities. This position requires collaboration with the Regional Organizing Directors and Project Director to achieve significant outreach objectives.

This is a full-time, salaried position that involves working in regional offices and spending considerable time in the field with canvassers. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, capable of managing a diverse team from various backgrounds. Comprehensive training will be provided for new hires, and we encourage applicants with relevant skills to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate training and supervision of canvassers in the field, including pre-shift briefings and post-shift evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Organizer and Project Director to enhance and refine the training program.
  • Be prepared to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Passion for engaging in meaningful conversations with voters.
  • Familiarity with voter outreach tools and prior experience in canvassing is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and interact with canvassers throughout the workday.
  • Effective communication with colleagues and partners in various formats.
  • Visual and auditory capabilities are necessary for this role.
