Job Summary

The Human Resources Service Center Representative I is a key member of the HR team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service to faculty, staff, students, and retirees. This role involves responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support for HR-related matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to associate inquiries via phone, email, and postal service
  • Provide timely and efficient support for HR Systems, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, and general HR policy and procedures
  • Prioritize issues and escalate as necessary
  • Take ownership of customer issues and drive to a possible win-win solution
  • Use appropriate software for contact tracking, information gathering, research, and problem resolution
  • Accountable for 100% of contact transaction documentation daily
  • Verify customer identity and maintain confidentiality
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and participate in developing improvement plans
  • Data entry/collection of all associate changes, including new hires, terms, job changes, and benefits
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in an ever-changing environment
  • Scheduling flexibility, including overtime
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a client service focus
  • Knowledge of HRIS and web-based employee self-service applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years' experience in Human Resource Call Center and/or HR Service Delivery
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or business-related field
