Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Director of Product Strategy to lead our Document Productivity product pillar. This role will drive investment strategy, own the roadmap, and ensure operational and financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a product vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy that aligns with company goals and strategy.
  • Set product growth targets with the CFO and achieve targets in the assigned product area.
  • Design and own product and go-to-market strategies to drive product growth and adoption, including facilitation around the product roadmap; measure return and calibrate the organization as needed.
  • Prioritize optimization opportunities to ensure maximum impact and value for strategic initiatives.
  • Perform due diligence, market research, data synthesis, and analysis to anticipate market trends and understand the competitive landscape for document productivity solutions.
  • Identify new opportunities, assess product performance in the broader landscape, and help develop long-term strategic plans for existing and future product lines.
  • Collaborate with Product Development to translate business requirements into features and overall product portfolio strategies.
  • Communicate strategy, roadmaps, and priorities across various audiences, from partner teams to executive levels, customers, and prospects.
  • Work closely with cross-functional leadership teams to ensure achievement of long-term overall portfolio vision and business goals.
  • Interface with industry analysts to maintain leadership positions in market reports.
  • Establish metrics to measure progress on strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in mid/large enterprise software technology companies in the PDF and electronic signature industry.
  • Proven experience with thick-client and cloud-based PDF and electronic signature products from both product management and go-to-market standpoints.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and manage people, holding others accountable.
  • Recognized thought leader in cloud-based technologies.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify complex problems, evaluate options, and execute solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Time management skills to manage timelines and progress of strategic initiatives.
  • Intellectual discipline, problem-solving aptitude, creativity, and independent judgment.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities.
  • Proven ability to develop and measure financial performance.
  • Working knowledge of operational procedures.
  • Deep understanding of document productivity processes, software, and cloud-based technologies.

  • Strong decision-making capabilities with a bias towards action and proven ability to make difficult choices under pressure.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing, measuring, and analyzing financial performance metrics related to product strategy and development.
  • Extensive knowledge of operational procedures specific to the document productivity software industry, optimizing processes and procedures for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Understanding of customer needs and market dynamics in the document productivity industry, anticipating future trends and aligning product strategy accordingly.
  • Experience managing the product lifecycle from concept through launch and post-launch optimization in the document productivity software industry.
  • Deep technical understanding of document productivity software solutions to aid in developing robust strategies and communicating effectively with technical teams.
  • Experience conducting competitive analysis to identify gaps and opportunities in the market for document productivity solutions.
  • Rapidly changing environment agility, pivoting product strategy as needed in response to industry trends and changes.
  • Regulatory and compliance issues experience related to document productivity software is preferred.

About Kofax:

Kofax is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $210,000, determined by work location, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. This range does not include benefits.
