Position: Guest Services Supervisor - The Aviator Hotel Anchorage

Overview: As a Guest Services Supervisor, you will oversee and direct the daily functions of the front office at The Aviator Hotel Anchorage, ensuring compliance with corporate standards while delivering exceptional service to our guests. This role includes managing the Front Desk and Guest Services to ensure smooth operations and high levels of guest satisfaction.

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage VIP reservations and special requests for guests.
  • Update and maintain the computer system with accurate inventory and guest information.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Oversee daily payroll and scheduling, analyzing data to forecast guest arrivals and departures.
  • Handle cash transactions, balancing the house bank at the end of each shift.
  • Address guest complaints with professionalism, conducting thorough investigations to resolve issues effectively.
  • Lead front office meetings and represent the department in management discussions.
  • Monitor and manage expenses related to payroll and supplies to control costs.
  • Ensure all safety and security protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Office and property management systems.
  • Two-Year College Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
