About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hospitality Clerk to join our team at SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium. As a key member of our patient services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our patients and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general office support, including answering phone calls, copying, faxing, and scanning documents.
  • Communicate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure seamless coverage and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Offer support to guests and escorts, including being accessible, empathetic, and knowledgeable about our services.
  • Utilize your best judgment when assisting patients with transportation, baggage, and other tasks.
  • Communicate with colleagues at shift change to ensure a smooth transition of information.
  • Notify supervisors of any issues that cannot be resolved.
  • Approve timecards on a bi-weekly basis and notify supervisors of any issues.
  • Restock office supplies and maintain a list of needed supplies for supervisors.
  • Utilize email to communicate with colleagues and supervisors.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Transport guests and escorts to and from ferry terminals, Alaska Airlines, and hotels for appointments.
  • Maintain vehicle maintenance logs and notify supervisors when completed.
  • Monitor room availability and determine room assignments for patient housing.
  • Call and reserve rooms at local hotels when patient housing is full.
  • Check rooms for readiness prior to guest arrival and confer with housekeeping as needed.
  • Complete registration process for guests, including forms and informing them of our amenities and services.
  • Be able to contact security for assistance with evictions at patient housing.
  • Monitor email for housing requests and complete requests in a timely manner.
  • Clean common areas of patient housing, including the kitchen, weekly or as needed.
  • Restock kitchen supplies and maintain a list of needed supplies for supervisors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Alaska Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • 21 years of age or older preferred.
  • 1-2 years of general office or hospitality experience or other relevant job experience.
  • Knowledge of the Privacy Act of 1974 to maintain and safeguard patient confidentiality.
  • Customer service concepts and practices.
  • Skills in operating a computer, problem-solving, and communicating issues to supervisors.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, respond quickly in urgent situations, and maintain accurate record-keeping systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
