Position Overview

At Blue Canyon Technologies, our mission is to push the boundaries of space exploration and development. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Mission Assurance Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide independent oversight for program execution to ensure overall program risk and mission success in a Mission Class C/D environment
  • Establish and execute mission assurance requirements for each assigned program, tracking and delivering all program internal and customer deliverables (SDRLs/CDRLs)
  • Lead a team of cross-functional Mission and Quality assurance engineers
  • Work with design assurance, reliability, EEE parts, radiation, and M&P to meet program requirements and needs
  • Lead program and product line Failure Review Boards
  • Support non-conformance process and material review boards
  • Support Risk and Opportunity Boards as a voting member
  • Write and close Mission Assurance Bulletins supporting cross-program and product line anomaly communication
  • Support department for process updates and cross-functional communication

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in a related mission assurance or quality role. Preferred 5+ years in space mission assurance
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent discipline
  • Experience in any of the following disciplines: Quality Assurance, System Safety Engineering, Environment/Safety/Health, Reliability, Parts Engineering, and Materials and Processes
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems and Processes
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work teams through difficult conversations to resolution
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Presentation experience is required
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly and effectively multi-task and exercise time management
  • Team player within and outside Mission Assurance
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education

Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
