Clinical Education Coordinator, Physical Therapist Assistant Program

Rasmussen University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Education Coordinator to join our team in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. As a Clinical Education Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing the clinical education component of our program, ensuring that students receive high-quality learning experiences that prepare them for successful careers in physical therapy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage clinical education sites, including identifying, developing, and maintaining affiliation agreements.
  • Develop, monitor, and refine the clinical practicum component of the curriculum to ensure that students receive relevant and effective learning experiences.
  • Assign students to clinical sites and facilitate quality learning experiences during clinical education.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to students, faculty, and leadership to ensure that students are meeting programmatic and academic standards.
  • Provide academic advising and counseling to students, responding to their requests for information and guidance in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Collaborate with faculty and student support personnel to ensure delivery of superior student service and support student success through timely and consistent feedback.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years (or equivalent) full-time experience in the professional discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree with a Physical Therapist specialization.
  • Active, unencumbered Minnesota PT license.
  • Minimum of 3 years full-time post-licensure clinical practice.
  • Two years of clinical practice must include experience as a Center coordinator of Clinical Education or Clinical Instructor in physical therapy OR two years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, and administration in a PT or PTA program.
  • Didactic and/or clinical teaching experience.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with students, leadership, and peers.
  • Excellent written communication and strong verbal communication skills in the English language.
