Job Title: Family Support Worker

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our team. As a Family Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and supervision to at-risk children and teenagers, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide thorough supervision and transportation of youth to and from placements, medical, educational, and other appointments.
  • Assist the case management team by coordinating and observing parent/child and sibling visitations.
  • Document all interactions with youth, including incidents and problem behaviors.
  • Act as a resource for youth, providing guidance and advice on life situations and social issues.
  • Coordinate medical or other appointments and ensure the child is fed properly during supervision.
  • Maintain accurate case notes, log entries, and other necessary client records.
Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or experience working with high-risk youth preferred.
  • One year experience working with at-risk youth preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and appropriate auto liability insurance required.
