Director of Construction Operations

Austin-based Engen Contracting, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Director of Construction Operations to lead our construction operations team. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of our construction projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining the highest level of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement construction operations strategies to drive project success
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure effective project execution
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of operational frameworks and processes
  • Lead the construction operations team to achieve business objectives
  • Represent the organization in interactions with clients, consultants, and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and vendors
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the construction operations team
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction operations or a related field
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving project success
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Experience with construction management software and tools
  • Valid Texas driver's license (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
