Position Overview:
Innova Solutions is seeking a Senior Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology Consultant to support a client in the healthcare sector. This role involves a direct hire opportunity.


Key Responsibilities:
- Hold a current Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology (CP) certification and be open to pursuing Epic Beaker Anatomic Pathology (AP) certification.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of workflows, data collection, and technical challenges associated with Epic Beaker.
- Interpret user requirements through detailed discussions to guide clients towards optimal solutions.
- Develop and document workflows to be utilized with Beaker, including design, build, testing, installation, and maintenance of those solutions.
- Prioritize and implement system change requests, coordinating software updates and enhancements with end-users.
- Implement and maintain related third-party systems.
- Exhibit strong project management capabilities, including leading meetings, prioritizing tasks, resolving conflicts, and managing project plans.
- Establish and nurture relationships with IT and operational leaders.
- Troubleshoot user issues and provide on-call support on a rotating basis.
- Offer on-site assistance during system upgrades and go-lives.
- Provide 24x7 on-call support coverage on a rotating schedule.
- Foster and advocate for innovative ideas that enhance organizational value.
- Engage in process design initiatives.
- Utilize critical thinking to deliver system solutions and research best practices for implementation in projects and routine tasks.
- Review software, analyze business operations, and collaborate with colleagues and end-users to ensure systems meet organizational needs.
- Perform additional duties as required.


Accountability:
- Oversee application sub-work streams or projects with minimal oversight.
- Identify risks and issues, escalating them to project leadership as necessary.
- Take initiative to complete tasks, solve problems promptly, and communicate issues and suggested efficiencies.
- Manage multiple tasks, analyze data, and comprehend process flows.
- Facilitate team communication and manage implementation needs across various application teams.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks with accurate documentation.
- Make recommendations, review, and test changes, enhancements, and new releases as assigned.
- Coordinate with the training team to maximize end-user adoption of functionalities and tools.
- Collaborate effectively with Epic using appropriate tools.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.


Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Epic certification in Beaker Clinical Pathology with a willingness to pursue Anatomic Pathology certification.
- 5+ years of experience in EPIC analyst build, IT implementation, and/or support.
- Familiarity with LIS and/or the pathology industry, including clinical laboratories, microbiology, surgical pathology, cytology, and blood bank.
- A strong desire to enhance healthcare IT knowledge and expertise.
- Excellent oral, written, and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Proven experience in documenting workflows and providing tailored solutions to meet user needs.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and pragmatic; a collaborative team player with an analytical and solution-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office is required.
- Candidates must obtain and maintain relevant Epic Certification(s) essential to their role.
- Flexibility to work an expanded schedule, including early mornings, nights, and possibly weekends during major implementations and support efforts.


Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in Bugsy Infection Control, EpicCare Inpatient Orders, Order Transmittal.
- Proficiency with MS Visio, Teams, SharePoint, and OneNote.


Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay Range: $135,000 - $145,000 annually, based on various factors including education, experience, location, and specific job duties.
