Avionics Electrical Technician

Position Overview:
High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. A fundamental understanding of relevant regulatory standards and client specifications is essential. Proficiency in using a multimeter is required. This is an entry-level role. Preference will be given to candidates with six (6) months of accredited training in aviation electronics or relevant electrical experience.

Role Purpose:
Under moderate supervision, the individual will assist in the removal and installation of avionics electrical components, including the fabrication of wire harnesses, installations, terminations, ring-out, and functional testing of avionics and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
1.

Support the installation, modification, and fabrication of wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and related equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, blueprints, and worksheets.

2. Aid in the timely completion of assigned tasks. 3. Help maintain necessary logs and records. 4. Adhere to the company's FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.

Additional Responsibilities:
1. Properly maintain and care for shop tools and equipment as directed by the Supervisor. 2. Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
1. A Technical Certificate in aircraft electrical assembly is preferred, along with successful completion of a youth apprenticeship program sponsored by HSGI in the relevant field. 2. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams. 3. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. 4. Proficiency in computer skills and general software knowledge is necessary.
