Climate and Financial Regulation Policy Specialist

Public Citizen is a national, non-partisan, public interest group with a strong commitment to advancing climate and financial regulation policies. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Climate and Financial Regulation Policy Specialist to join our team.
Job Summary:The Climate and Financial Regulation Policy Specialist will play a key role in advancing our policy development and advocacy efforts at the intersection of climate and financial regulation. This is a new and exciting policy area, and we are making a significant impact. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of banking and finance, as well as excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement policy proposals to advance climate and financial regulation goals
- Advocate before Congress and administrative agencies on climate and financial regulation issues
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop research and media strategies
- Represent Public Citizen in public forums and participate in coalitions
- Develop and maintain media relationships and respond to press inquiries
- Strong knowledge of banking and finance, or a willingness to learn and quickly adapt
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Independence and strong impulses toward self-starting and self-finishing
- Ability to execute planned strategy while reacting to new developments and to balance multiple projects and priorities
