Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and programs to ensure the timely completion of tasks and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties and common areas to identify maintenance needs and develop plans to address them.
- Coordinate and complete maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
- Manage and maintain a inventory of parts and materials, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available to complete tasks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and within budget.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to resident requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other members of the property management team to ensure that all maintenance needs are met and that properties are maintained to a high standard.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar leadership role, preferably within residential property management.
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate required.
- Industry certification or designation (CAMT, NAHMS, NAHMT) preferred.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
- Ability to wear a respirator and comply with FPI's facial hair policy.
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps, property management-related software, email, internet).
- Experience in hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, or construction.
- Knowledge of property management software and systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
